Is there an age limit for car hire?
No. Rentiago has no upper age limit — drivers of any age can rent a car with us, including drivers well over 70, 80, or 90 years old. From the age of 69, a small Senior Driver supplement of €8.90 per day applies.
Do you charge a senior driver fee?
Yes, a flat €8.90 per day supplement applies to drivers aged 69 and over. There are no hidden charges — the fee is shown clearly during booking before you pay.
Does the excess or insurance change for drivers over 69?
No. Drivers aged 69 and over get exactly the same insurance terms and excess as all other drivers — there is no separate senior insurance policy or higher deposit.
Can senior drivers rent any car category?
Yes. Drivers aged 69 and over can book any vehicle in our fleet, from compact cars to SUVs and automatics — there are no category restrictions based on age.
Do I need a medical certificate to rent a car at Rentiago?
No. Rentiago does not require a medical certificate for senior drivers, regardless of age.
What do I need to bring if I'm 69 or older?
The same documents as any other driver: a valid driving licence, ID or passport, and a payment card in the main driver’s name for the deposit.
